Sacred Salon: Sacred Sound
Saturday, January 25 at 3 pm As explored in the MIA’s new exhibition, Sacred, the sacred hasn’t disappeared so much as evolved. Related to the series of “Sacred” exhibitions, Sacred Salons are participatory experiences exploring a wide range of ideas and practices related to the nature of the sacred within a secular, multi-faith society. I am delighted to have the opportunity to offer this presentation at the MIA. During this gathering, we will playfully explore the sacred space of our own bodies, our own breath and our own voices. Participants will be led though very gentle, simple and interactive breathing and vocal practices supporting presence and a reconnection with our innermost essence – that sublime truth of who we are.
